The first 48 hours
- No lipstick or makeup over the lips for 24 hours.
- Skip the gym, alcohol and saunas for 24–48 hours.
- Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated the first night — it helps the swelling.
- Don’t press or massage the area.
- Fullness, small bumps and asymmetry in week one are swelling, not the result — book a follow-up if you’d like to add more.
Who lip filler isn’t for
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Active cold sores or infection around the mouth — we treat once skin is clear, and can plan antiviral cover if you’re prone to them.

I get cold sores — can I still have lip filler?
